THE GOOD FIGHT

240th Meditation

“Fight the good fight, trusting in me without limit” (Inner Word).

This exhortation brings to mind the words of St. Paul when he writes to Timothy: “I have fought the good fight to the end; I have run the race to the finish; I have kept the faith” (2 Tim 4:7).

We are called to a fight, which is explicitly defined as a “good fight”. Many people fight, but it is not necessarily a “good fight” that is pleasing to God. Read More

TEN POUNDS OF GOLD

237th Meditation

“I am just, it is true, but love pays for everything! Listen, My children, let us make a comparison, and you will be assured of My love. For Me, your sins are like iron, and your acts of love like gold. If you gave Me a thousand pounds of iron, it would not be like giving Me just ten pounds of gold! In other words, with just a little love, great iniquities can be expiated” (Father’s message to Sister Eugenia Ravasio). Read More

A SENSITIVE HEART

235th Meditation

“Your heart is therefore as sensitive as mine, and mine as yours” (Father’s message to Sr Eugenia Ravasio).

A GREATER LOVE FOR JESUS

234th Meditation

“If you come to know Me, you will love Me and My beloved Son more than you do now” (Message of the Father to Sr. Eugenia Ravasio).

Certainly all of us want to love our Lord Jesus Christ more than we do now. At Christmas we have said to the Child Jesus what is expressed in a beautiful German carol: “My heart I want to offer you; and all that I have, give you”. Read More

THE WRATH OF THE LORD

233rd Meditation

“Even if people encounter my ‘wrath’, I want them to know that I love them and call them to conversion” (Inner Word).

“The Lord disciplines the one He loves” (Heb 12:6). Our Father’s intention is always to call us to conversion. If he allows people to feel the consequences of their actions, that is, to encounter His “wrath”, then this too is done out of love, in order to shake them up and awaken them. Sometimes there seems to be no other alternative to turn a person from their evil ways and turn them back to God. Read More
