TRUE UNITY

138th Meditation

“We are called children of God, and so we are!” (1 Jn 3:1).

To be the children of God is a great predilection, and all are called to this dignity. Thus, the Father unites us in Himself. He is the true foundation of the unity of humanity; a unity which we seek in so many different ways, but which we can never attain unless it is grounded in God. Unity among all humanity is rooted in God Himself and can only become a reality to the extent that we truly live as His children. Read More

THE OPEN DOOR

137th Meditation

“I have opened in front of you a door that no one will be able to close” (Rev 3:8).

These words addressed to the “angel of the Church of Philadelphia” are extended to all those who have accepted God’s invitation. The door to the Father’s Heart is wide open, so that all those who have embarked on the path of salvation can come to Him. Read More

IF YOU KNEW

   136th Meditation

“If you knew how much I love my disciples and how willing I am to unveil to them all the treasures of grace, you would always be awake, attentive to listen to the voice of your heart to meet me” (Interior Word).

Once our heart has been pierced by the love of the Lord, it will perceive how immense this love is and it will long to receive everything that is a sign of this love. What else could it seek outside of it? Read More

THE DESIGNS OF THE LORD PREVAIL

133rd Meditation

“Many are the plans in a person’s heart, but it is the Lord’s design that prevails” (Prov 19:21).

Wise is the one who does not simply follow the inclinations of their own heart, but examines whether they are in accord with the Lord’s designs. Indeed, His designs prevail. Not infrequently, our abundant fantasies, dreams and desires serve only to confuse us. They cause us to live in an illusion and can even make us prisoners of certain expectations, which, in the end, are not fulfilled. Then they leave an emptiness and disappointment in the soul. BE FAITHFUL UNTIL DEATH

132nd Meditation

“Even if you have to die, keep faithful, and I will give you the crown of life for your prize” (Rev 2:10).

In the Book of Revelation, the Father conveys these words to us through the mouth of the glorified Lord. God wants to give us the “crown of life,” which is a crown of victory. The Lord wants to adorn us with His glory and make us sharers in His triumph over death and hell. To this end, we must be faithful unto death. Read More

THE GREAT WEAKNESS OF GOD

131st Meditation

“Humanity is my great weakness. Therefore you must go in search of them with the same love with which I go in search of them” (Interior Word).

Let us try to understand these words… The love of our Father for us is almost incomprehensible to us. A bishop of Italy, Bishop Salvatore Bocciacco (1938-2008), made the following prayer his own:

“God is my Papa. He loves me to the point of madness. He does wonderful things for me. Read More

THE LORD MAKES OUR PATHS STRAIGHT

129th Meditation

“Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight” (Prov 3:5-6).

It is a very wise not to lean on one’s own understanding. Although our understanding is a marvelous gift that God grants us on the natural plane, it was obscured as a result of original sin, in addition to being subject to the limitations proper to the world of creation. Read More
