RESTORE US

445th Meditation

“Restore us, O God of hosts; let thy face shine, that we may be saved!” (Ps 80:7).

It is the people of Israel who utter this prayer, imploring the Lord to change their destiny. They are in great distress because they have repeatedly turned away from God and been unfaithful to Him, and our Father has allowed them to feel the consequences: “Thou dost make us the scorn of our neighbors; and our enemies laugh among themselves” (v. 6). In Christ alone resides the fullness of the Godhead

Col 2:6-15

As therefore you received Christ Jesus the Lord, so live in him, 7 rooted and built up in him and established in the faith, just as you were taught, abounding in thanksgiving. See to it that no one makes a prey of you by philosophy and empty deceit, according to human tradition, according to the elemental spirits of the universe, and not according to Christ. For in him the whole fulness of deity dwells bodily, and you have come to fulness of life in him, who is the head of all rule and authority.

ASK MY SON

444th Meditation

“Ask my Son to make you realise more and more how merciful and kind I am to you” (Message of the Father to Sister Eugenia Ravasio).

What could please our Lord more than to fulfil such a request? Indeed, the great desire of His Heart is that His beloved Father be known. That is why Jesus will hasten to answer this prayer. Read More

THE GOLDEN THREAD

443rd Meditation

“There is a fine golden thread running through our lives. If we find this thread and follow it, our life becomes less exhausting and more fruitful. This ‘golden thread’ is the guidance of the Holy Spirit, which is quite fine and subtle. If we follow it, everything we do will be even more marked by the supernatural and, consequently, we will do it with more agility” (based on an “inner word”). Read More

Completing the suffering of Christ

Col 1:24–2:3

‘It makes me happy to be suffering for you now, and in my own body to make up all the hardships that still have to be undergone by Christ for the sake of his body, the Church, of which I was made a servant with the responsibility towards you that God gave to me, that of completing God’s message, the message which was a mystery hidden for generations and centuries and has now been revealed to his holy people. Love and do what you want

Rom 13:8-10

Owe no one anything, except to love one another; for he who loves his neighbor has fulfilled the law.  The commandments, “You shall not commit adultery, You shall not kill, You shall not steal, You shall not covet,” and any other commandment, are summed up in this sentence, “You shall love your neighbor as yourself.”  Love does no wrong to a neighbor; therefore love is the fulfilling of the law. GOD’S CHOICE

442nd Meditation

“You are my friend and confidant” (Inner Word).

In the Message to Mother Eugenia Ravasio, the Father offers Himself to us as a friend and confidant, and makes us understand that this is how we will reach the fullness of love: when we have learned to love Him as He desires, “that is, not only as a Father, but as a friend and confidant”. IRRESISTIBLE ATTRACTION

441st Meditation

“Gentleness, combined with the clarity of the Spirit, is irresistible to those who seek the truth” (Interior Word).

These words reflect what God Himself is like, while inviting us to become like Him. It is the Holy Spirit who can lead us to adopt more and more the attitude of God. It is He who produces in us the fruits of the Spirit and forms us into the image of God. Let us think of the fruit of gentleness and the gift of understanding and wisdom, which resonate particularly in today’s sentence. Read More

Firm in faith

Col 1:21-23

You were once estranged and of hostile intent through your evil behaviour; now he has reconciled you, by his death and in that mortal body, to bring you before himself holy, faultless and irreproachable-as long as you persevere and stand firm on the solid base of the faith, never letting yourselves drift away from the hope promised by the gospel, which you have heard, which has been preached to every creature under heaven, and of which I, Paul, have become the servant. I REJOICE TO BE AMONG YOU

440th Meditation

“How I rejoice to be among you, hour by hour, day by day!” (Inner Word).

Our Father’s declarations of love are innumerable and move the heart.

If we human beings were to interiorise these words, a wonderful horizon would open up in our lives. Indeed, how different it is to live with the certainty of being children loved and sought after by God than to believe, as is so often the case, that we have to beg for love in order to feel valued! No, it is not necessary to fight for this love, it is already there, always and forever. It is indestructible! Only we ourselves can move away from God’s love, but without our Father ceasing to love us, because “God is love” (1Jn 4:8b). Read More
