THE TREASURE OF HIS LOVE

389th Meditation

“Our good God has a burning desire to grant us the great treasure of His love, but He wants us to ask Him in supplication and to act in such a way that every deed we perform is a supplication imploring that love” (St. Teresa Margaret Redi).

We must plead fervently and insistently with the Father so that His desire to grant us the great treasure of His love may be fulfilled, as the phrase of the saint we have just heard suggests. Read More

THE HOUR OF TRUST

388th Meditation

“When a soul approaches Me with trust, I fill it with such an abundance of graces that it cannot contain them within itself, but radiates them upon other souls. To people who spread devotion to my Mercy I protect them throughout their lives as a loving mother protects her children; and at the hour of their death I will not be their judge but their merciful redeemer (…). The sins that hurt me most are those of mistrust” (Jesus to Sister Faustina Kowalska). Read More

Dying to sin

NOTE: We will listen today to the reading scheduled for this Sunday in the traditional calendar.

Rom 6:3-11

You cannot have forgotten that all of us, when we were baptised into Christ Jesus, were baptised into his death. So by our baptism into his death we were buried with him, so that as Christ was raised from the dead by the Father’s glorious power, we too should begin living a new life.

HALLOWED BE THY NAME

387th Meditation

In the Message to Mother Eugenia, the Father poses the following question in connection with the first petition we express each day in the Our Father: “Is my Name hallowed?”

If we go deeper into this question, we will certainly note right away that His Name is not sanctified as it deserves to be. For many people, it is much more difficult to recognize God as a loving Father than to feel Him as the Creator or to have a vague intuition of a superior being or other esoteric conceptions that define Him as an all-pervading force and energy, among many other imperfect, erroneous and false ideas of God. The glorification of the Father

Jn 17:1-8

After saying this, Jesus raised his eyes to heaven and said: Father, the hour has come: glorify your Son so that your Son may glorify you; so that, just as you have given him power over all humanity, he may give eternal life to all those you have entrusted to him. And eternal life is this: to know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom you have sent. I have glorified you on earth by finishing the work that you gave me to do.

THE GREATEST THING THAT CAN HAPPEN

386th Meditation

“There is nothing greater than when a person returns to God and experiences and welcomes His love” (Inner Word).

The great return of mankind to the house of the Heavenly Father is still pending. Therefore, humanity has not yet reached its goal. The Will of the Father is not yet fulfilled on earth as it is in heaven, as He desires. Many people do not even know that there is a Creator, let alone that this Creator is their loving Father, who has no greater desire than for His child to return to Him. Read More

Jesus forgives sins

Mt 9:1-8

‘He got back in the boat, crossed the water and came to his home town. And suddenly some people brought him a paralytic stretched out on a bed. Seeing their faith, Jesus said to the paralytic, ‘Take comfort, my child, your sins are forgiven.’ And now some scribes said to themselves, ‘This man is being blasphemous.’
