“I desire man to remember often that I am right there, where he is.” (Message from God the Father to Sister Eugenia Ravasio).
With these words our Father reminds us that there is not a single moment in our lives when He is far from us. God is always there—whether to call us to conversion when we have strayed, or to strengthen and shape us according to His will when we live in His grace. Nothing is hidden from our Father, who in all things seeks to make people understand His goodness and to help them recognize just how much they depend on Him.
In the message to Sister Eugenia He goes on to say: “Man could not live if I were not with him, living just as he is.”
Thus our entire existence depends on His loving presence in all things. If we were aware of this, our lives would take on a supernatural dimension. Once we have responded to the call to conversion, the Lord’s presence becomes increasingly natural to us, and we delight in it. All fear vanishes, and all false images of God disappear from our lives.
So what remains for us? We are left with a sense of profound wonder and deep gratitude because God is exactly as He is. Day after day we awaken to the reality that we have a Heavenly Father who envelops us constantly with His love—if only we turn to Him with confidence and call Him “Father.” Thus love and trust grow, and we will sing of them eternally “in heaven in the company of the elect.”
But it begins right here on earth. It is “a foretaste of the happiness of heaven, which will last for ever.”
What a wonderful invitation God extends to all people! It is as if our Father were saying to us: “Wake up and see: your Father is always watching over you and is with you. What could happen to you if you let me guide you?”
