“Your great trust in Me compels Me to grant you graces constantly. You have great and incomprehensible rights over My Heart, for you are a daughter of perfect trust.” (St. Faustina)
This is a message that Jesus gave to St. Faustina, and it corresponds very well with the Father’s message to Sr. Eugenia. Let us remember: time and again, the Heavenly Father calls us, with moving words, to trust in Him. This fundamental trust in God has often been shaken, and time and again the enemy of our souls tries to convey a false image of God to us. We already know this from the time of Paradise! Yet this is not a one-time event; rather, throughout the ages, the forces of darkness have sought to distort and falsify the true image of God, so that people will not entrust themselves to their loving Father.
Yet trust in God is the remedy for bringing our lives into harmony with the truth, for our Father is, above all, a God of infinite mercy. In another saying by Sr. Faustina, it is written: “Let no one doubt God’s goodness; even if a person’s sins were as dark as night, God’s mercy is stronger than our misery.”
But our text also draws our attention to something else that should really wake us up. God wants to grant us great, indeed incomprehensible, rights over His Heart.
Do we understand this?
It is the power of love that manifests itself in perfect trust in our Father. God cannot and will not resist it. On this path, like Sr. Faustina, we become sons and daughters of perfect trust.
