Over the past few weeks, I have discussed two serious topics in my daily meditations. In the first series, I spoke about self‑deception and other deceptions that have recently occurred in the world and in the Church. In the second series—which, in a certain sense, could be considered an extension of the first—we have spoken about the advent of a specific Antichrist, whose spirit, from my point of view, is already working intensely to prepare for his seizure of power.
It is clear that the spirit of the Antichrist is none other than Lucifer, who seeks to deceive humanity in order to achieve his goal: to usurp God’s place among men and thus bring his blind rebellion against Him to its climax.
The fallen angel knows how much God loves humanity and the glorious future God has prepared for them. This is why he wants to draw them to his side, deceive them, and deprive them of eternal salvation. There is not a trace of love left in him. His entire being has been perverted. Instead of being a bearer of light for mankind and proclaiming God’s glory to them, in accordance with the mission entrusted to him, he now, in his delusion, wants to establish his own kingdom on Earth. To this end, he will use the Antichrist, because he needs a visible figure under his complete control. The Antichrist’s dominion will be a perversion of Christ’s kingdom. Christ came into the world to fulfill the Father’s will and establish the kingdom of His love. The Antichrist will come at Satan’s behest and serve the one who seeks to establish a kingdom of tyranny and deception.
Who will recognize him? Many people will not realize it. If the Antichrist presents himself skillfully as a bringer of peace and a benefactor of humanity, promising freedom and captivating them, the majority will accept his rule almost blindly, as if it were the most natural thing in the world.
Generally speaking, only those who possess the spirit of discernment and are firmly rooted in God will be able to recognize the deceptions and machinations of the Antichrist. Just as Saint John the Apostle warned about the Antichrist and many antichrists in his time (1 Jn 2:18), so too should the shepherds of the Church warn the faithful today. Sacred Scripture and the authentic doctrine of the Church provide a solid foundation for discerning the anti‑Christian spirit and warning the faithful about it. However, there is a major problem: such warnings are rarely heard anymore.
In the political sphere, it is difficult to find anyone deeply rooted in the faith who resolutely opposes anti‑Christian currents. Many have been swept up by these currents and base their politics on them. As the Apostle John wrote, “We know that we are of God, and the whole world is in the power of the evil one.” (1 Jn 5:19)
But where is the prophetic voice of the Church to warn the people of God through their shepherds? Since the beginning of Pope Francis’s pontificate, voices warning the flock have diminished considerably and often fall silent. The growing worldliness of the Church and its internal weakening due to false doctrines have not only silenced the much‑needed warnings of the shepherds, but, unfortunately, we must acknowledge that, on many levels, the ecclesiastical hierarchy is cooperating with the anti‑Christian spirit.
In this context, let us recall Don Gobbi’s words about the infiltration of ecclesiastical Freemasonry into the hierarchy. Although this does not necessarily mean that Church leaders are registered members of this organization, the truth is that, with their modernist tendencies, they have adopted the mindset and objectives of Freemasonry and other similar movements inspired by the same spirit hostile to God.
So, what can we expect?
Leo XIV is continuing Francis’s disastrous course and consolidating it as if it were something natural for the Church. However, this is a mistaken path that paves the way for the coming of the Antichrist. Some of the faithful realize that the Church is straying, but they avoid the obvious fact of who is ultimately responsible for such deviations. But we cannot simply close our eyes, because if we do, we risk overlooking the “elephant in the room,” as the Russian saying goes, referring to something obvious that no one wants to mention. This prevents us from drawing the proper conclusions.
In the last two series, I addressed these topics to provide the faithful with criteria for discernment and to help them recognize the danger that is already present and that may intensify even further for those who wish to remain steadfast in the Lord. Since, in my opinion, the coming of the Antichrist could be very near, I will try to help the faithful as long as the Lord allows me to do so.[1]
In any case, we must remain faithful to the Lord and His Church. When the “man of lawlessness” appears on Earth, we must resist him with spiritual weapons.
Having concluded these serious yet necessary topics, tomorrow we will begin the novena to God the Father. He will certainly guide us through the tribulations of these times if we allow ourselves to be led by Him.
