We have dedicated three programmes to St. Joan of Arc. Every day we pray in our community that we may better understand her mission and that her honor may be fully established.

Why do we pray in this way?

As already mentioned in the last broadcasts, Joan of Arc was often not properly understood. One could not imagine that God would intervene in the course of history in such a way and bring about such a change in a wartime event through a young girl. This continues to this day. Read More

The last part of this letter is about the freedom of the church. The signatories clearly state the right of the Church to regulate the sacramental life without interference from state authorities. The letter says:

“Finally, as Pastors responsible for the flock of Christ, let us remember that the Church firmly asserts her autonomy to govern, worship, and teach. This autonomy and freedom are an innate right that Our Lord Jesus Christ has given her for the pursuit of her proper ends. Read More

Before we enter into the last phase of the preparation for Pentecost and, in accordance with the coming High Feast, deal with the teaching and the person of the Holy Spirit, I would like – leaving the used rythm for a while – to first draw attention to a letter which has been signed in these days by several cardinals and bishops, as well as by scientists and various lay people. As the teaching of the Church let us know, it is the Holy Spirit, who proceeds from the Father and Son, who leads us into all truth.

It is precisely at times of disorientation to the highest circles of the Church that we are called to pay special attention to the voice of the Holy Spirit. We need to become very familiar with him so that we can distinguish him from the tangle of voices that surrounds us today. Read More

Especially at a time when the whole of humanity is affected by a pandemic and religious circles are discussing whether it can be a punishment of God, which some affirmative others strictly reject, it is important to look directly at God.

In all adversity, as the Psalms – the great prayer book of the Old Testament – teach us, we praise God. It is a time when our trust in God is in demand. This is especially true when circumstances cannot be explained to us and we ask ourselves where the Lord is and why all this is happening. Read More

In these difficult times we are not seldom asked for spiritual help, which we are glad to give. That is why today I would like to introduce to you a prayer which we pray in our community every morning at the beginning of the day. It can be sung, recited, simply spoken or even just moved in the heart. Read More

Judas has completed his betrayal and Jesus is taken captive! This happens after the Lord in Gethsemane has received the suffering from the Father’s hand and has said His yes to all that now lay before Him!

A yes that went through fear and pain of death!

A yes, after he had asked his father that this cup should pass him by!

A yes of total surrender to the Father!

A yes out of love for us humans! Read More

Preliminary remark: I created these meditations 2018, so they are repetitions. At that time the present painful situation was not yet foreseeable. That is why there are formulations which refer to the normal course of the Holy Masses. Read More
