Beloved Holy Spirit, You gentle soul guest, let grow in us the spirit of gentleness, that spirit that permeates everything, that transforms and softens our heart, purifying it from all hardships; that is as mild as Your wonderful Bride, our Mother!
“Blessed are the gentle: they shall have the earth as inheritance.” (Mt 5,4)Read More
Beloved Holy Spirit, come You, the eternal and pure light and penetrate us, so that nothing can remain hidden from You, no shadow can live on in our soul, every darkness may go away and everything be inflamed by Your love! Awaken us from all inertia and purify our heart so that it may love as God loves; love as You love, so that You and I may be intimately united in the praise of the glory of God!Read More
Until the feast of Pentecost, we will contemplate in meditation the fruits of the Holy Spirit, which should bring us closer to the Holy Spirit. They are mostly repetitions of the past year.
At Easter 2020, due to the pandemic, we broadcast retreats live via internet. We want to check if there is interest in further retreats at Pentecost. The topic would be the Pentecost sequence. We ask that you contact us by name. If there is enough interest, then we would write down the reactions that have already taken place in the list of the participants.
Before we come close to Pentecost and after the Ascension of the Lord, wich prepare ourselves in a novena for the most holy feast of Pentecost, I would like to present a book shortly after our broadcasts on St. Joan of Arc. It was written by Robert Hugh Benson, an English Catholic priest in 1907, with the title “Lord of the World”.Read More
We have dedicated three programmes to St. Joan of Arc. Every day we pray in our community that we may better understand her mission and that her honor may be fully established.
Why do we pray in this way?
As already mentioned in the last broadcasts, Joan of Arc was often not properly understood. One could not imagine that God would intervene in the course of history in such a way and bring about such a change in a wartime event through a young girl. This continues to this day.Read More
The last part of this letter is about the freedom of the church. The signatories clearly state the right of the Church to regulate the sacramental life without interference from state authorities. The letter says:
“Finally, as Pastors responsible for the flock of Christ, let us remember that the Church firmly asserts her autonomy to govern, worship, and teach. This autonomy and freedom are an innate right that Our Lord Jesus Christ has given her for the pursuit of her proper ends. Read More
“May the Blessed Virgin, Help of Christians, crush the head of the ancient Serpent and defeat the plans of the children of darkness.” (Ein Karem, the Place of the Visitation)
It may be difficult for us to imagine that such a crisis like the pandemic could be exploited by evil powers on various levels to install possible forms of rule which would then control humanity and guide it according to their ideas!Read More
Before we enter into the last phase of the preparation for Pentecost and, in accordance with the coming High Feast, deal with the teaching and the person of the Holy Spirit, I would like – leaving the used rythm for a while – to first draw attention to a letter which has been signed in these days by several cardinals and bishops, as well as by scientists and various lay people.Read More
As the teaching of the Church let us know, it is the Holy Spirit, who proceeds from the Father and Son, who leads us into all truth.
It is precisely at times of disorientation to the highest circles of the Church that we are called to pay special attention to the voice of the Holy Spirit. We need to become very familiar with him so that we can distinguish him from the tangle of voices that surrounds us today.Read More
Especially at a time when the whole of humanity is affected by a pandemic and religious circles are discussing whether it can be a punishment of God, which some affirmative others strictly reject, it is important to look directly at God.
In all adversity, as the Psalms – the great prayer book of the Old Testament – teach us, we praise God. It is a time when our trust in God is in demand. This is especially true when circumstances cannot be explained to us and we ask ourselves where the Lord is and why all this is happening.Read More
