DO NOT LET MY HEART INCLINE TO ANY EVIL

330th Meditation

“Set a guard, O Lord, over my mouth; keep watch over the door of my lips! Do not let my heart incline to any evil” (Ps 141:3-4a).

The tongue is “a whole wicked world” (James 3:6) and it is from our heart that evil proceeds (cf. Mt 15:19). This is what Sacred Scripture tells us, with its incomparable sobriety and without beating about the bush. “Who can discern his errors?” (Ps 19:12). Read More

LET NOT LOVE AND LOYALTY FORSAKE YOU

329th Meditation

“Let faithful love and constancy never leave you: tie them round your neck, write them on the tablet of your heart” (Prov 3:3).

God’s fatherly admonitions point us in the right direction. We must never neglect the path of virtue, and we must always return to it if we have strayed even a little. After every defeat we must get up again and get back on track. Read More

I HAVE COME TO MAKE MYSELF KNOWN

327th Meditation

“The missionaries have spoken and still speak of God as far as they know Him, but I assure you, you do not know Me as I am, because I am coming to proclaim Myself the Father of all” (Father’s message to Sister Eugenia Ravasio).

Here, the Father explains one of the reasons why He wants to make Himself known to mankind through Mother Eugenia Ravasio. Evidently, the true image of our Father has not yet sufficiently penetrated the souls of people. The devil has managed that an imperfect, distorted and false image of God persists, even in those Christians who already follow the Lord. Read More

AN ACTIVE LOVE

325th Meditation

“If you knew this Father (…), would not then this love which you would offer me become, under My impulse, an active love?” (Message of the Father to Sister Eugenia Ravasio).

As we get to know our Father more deeply, the love that dwells in His paternal Heart awakens in us. If we love Him, we will at the same time love people and seek their salvation. Read More

GOVERNING THE WORLD IN HOLINESS AND JUSTICE

323rd Meditation

“In your wisdom you have fitted human to (…) govern the world in holiness and saving justice and in honesty of soul to dispense fair judgement” (Wis 9:2a,3).

The Father not only entrusted to our care the irrational Creation, but also the world, which is to be shaped by humankind. If with regard to our responsibility towards creation the Father emphasised that we should treat it with wisdom, for the administration of the world He mentions holiness and saving justice as criteria. Those qualities which our Father possesses in fullness – holiness and justice – and which we can receive from Him, He wants to see reflected in us when we assume responsibility in the human world. “NO ONE CAN SNATCH THEM OUT OF THE FATHER’S HAND” (JN 10:29)

321st Meditation

“My Father, who has given them [the sheep] to me, is greater than all, and no one is able to snatch them out of the Father’s hand” (Jn 10:29).

In the hands of our Saviour, in which the Father has placed us, we can pass safely through the time of our earthly life and face in the right way the dangers that come our way. They can never gain power over us, no matter how threatening they may seem. Think of the Lord’s victory on the Cross: the powers of darkness thought they had triumphed; but in reality it was the hour of their defeat. Read More
