THE RETURN OF THE PRODIGAL SONS

414th Meditation

“If there is something that I desire, (…) it is the return of the prodigal sons to their Father’s house. I am referring in particular to the Jews…” (Father’s message to Sister Eugenia Ravasio).

If our Father’s wishes are most sacred to us, we can easily understand that one of His great concerns is that the Jewish People, His “Firstborn”, return to Him. The Apostle Paul was so inflamed with love for his people that, in his zeal, he uttered these words: “For I wished myself to be an anathema from Christ, for my brethren, who are my kinsmen according to the flesh” (Rom 9:3). THE DWELLING OF GOD IN THE SOUL

413th Meditation

“As for you, souls in a state of sin, or who are ignorant of religious truth, I will not be able to enter you; however, I will be close to you, because I never stop calling you, inviting you to desire to receive the benefits I bring you, so that you may see the light and be healed of sin” (Father’s message to Sister Eugenia Ravasio).

Here the Father expresses the great love with which He follows each soul, never ceasing to call her. However, He cannot dwell in a soul that is in a state of sin. Read More

THE TRUTH OF LOVE

412th Meditation

“Send me, Lord, send into my heart the appeasement, the meekness of your Spirit; lest love for truth induce me to lose the truth of love” (St. Augustine).

Proclaiming the truth with love and living in true love is what would seal our witness with deep credibility. Indeed, this is also what our Church needs for her renewal. Read More

ATTAINING FREEDOM BY AIMING AT TRUTH

411th Meditation

“Freedom is not attained by aspiring to freedom; but by aspiring to truth. Freedom is not a goal, but an effect” (Leo Tolstoy).

“The truth shall make you free” (Jn 8:32) – the Lord Himself tells us. This is what all people who strive for freedom must learn. Only by living in conformity with the Will of the Father can true freedom be achieved. Only then can the plan by which He created us become a reality in our lives. Read More

THE FATHER IS OUR CONFIDANT

409th Meditation

“If you wish to test the power of this spring about which I am talking, first learn to know Me better and to love Me to the extent that I desire, that is, not only as a Father, but as your Friend and Confidant” (Father’s message to Sr. Eugenia Ravasio).

“O Lord, you search me and know me, you know when I sit, when I rise, you understand my thoughts from afar. You watch when I walk or lie down, you know every detail of my conduct. A word is not yet on my tongue before you, O Lord, know all about it” (Ps 138:1-4). Read More

THE FATHER IS OUR FRIEND

409th Meditation

“It is not enough for Me to have shown you My love; I also want to open up My Heart to you, whence a refreshing spring will issue and where all men will quench their thirst (…) If you wish to test the power of this spring about which I am talking, first learn to know Me better and to love Me to the extent that I desire, that is, not only as a Father, but as your Friend and Confidant” (Father’s message to Sr. Eugenia Ravasio). LIVING IN INTIMATE FRIENDSHIP WITH GOD THE FATHER

REMARK: When we put “Inner Word” as a reference, these are statements that Brother Elias perceived in prayer.

“Live in intimate friendship with me. This friendship will deepen more and more, until you are completely with me in eternity” (Inner Word).

Friendship with our Heavenly Father is one of the most beautiful experiences in life. Just as Jesus called His disciples “friends” (Jn 15:15) and treated them as such, so the Father invites us to live in close friendship with Him. The word “close” is meant to underline even more the intimacy of this relationship. Read More

THE FATHER HAS GREAT PLANS

406th Meditation

“In my love, I have projected great plans for you” (Inner Word).

Once our Father has subjected everything to His loving dominion, down to the smallest detail, He has great plans in mind for us human beings.

Indeed, it is not just a few people who are called to find the way of faith, but all. Not only some must learn that their Creator and Redeemer is the kindest of all fathers, but all mankind must know it and hear it. Not only the Church must know it, but the call of a Father full of love must resound to the ends of the earth and in every possible way. Read More
