“ADAM, WHERE ARE YOU?” (Part II)

182nd Meditation

The anguished search of the Heavenly Father for us continues ever since we lost the union with God which we enjoyed in Paradise. Every time we go astray, every time we turn away from “the fountain of living waters, to become cracked cisterns” (Jer 2:13), we hear in the background the call of the Father:

“Adam, where are you?” (Gen 3:9b). Read More

WHO CAN DETECT HIS OWN FAILINGS?

181st Meditation

“Who can detect his own failings? Wash away my hidden faults” (Ps 19:13).

With sincere self-knowledge, the psalmist confidently addresses the Heavenly Father, knowing well how easily man remains trapped in self-deception: “Who can detect his own failings?” He wants to make sure that nothing stands between him and his God, and thus gives us an example of how we can pray: “Wash away my hidden faults”. HOW SWEET IT IS TO LIVE IN THE TRUTH

180º Meditation

“And you who are in the true light, tell them how sweet it is to live in the truth!” (Father’s message to Sr. Eugenia Ravasio).

Our Father always has in mind the salvation of all, who are called to live in such a way that the meaning of their existence is fulfilled completely and that they experience “how sweet it is to live in the truth”. THE FIRST WORD UPON AWAKENING

178th Meditation

When I awake in the morning, You, Father, are already there, and all night You have watched over me. Then You expect me to turn to You and my first word to be consecrated to You, gladly and joyously! But sometimes I forget and let myself be carried away by moods. What a pity!

How important is this first word: the greeting to You! It places me in the truth of being, for who in the order of the redeemed Creation would not greet You? Read More

Waiting with Patience for the Coming of the Lord

NOTE: We will pause today in the “Advent in Apocalyptic Times” series because, since it is Sunday, we want to meditate on the biblical texts for this day.

James 5:7-10

Now be patient, brothers, until the Lord’s coming. Think of a farmer: how patiently he waits for the precious fruit of the ground until it has had the autumn rains and the spring rains! You too must be patient; do not lose heart, because the Lord’s coming will be soon. Read More
