“A POWERFUL MEANS”

“Remain in the light and bring it to everybody, and it will be a powerful means both to obtain conversions and to shut, if possible, the gates of hell!” (From the message of God the Father to M. Eugenia Ravasio)

Our Father speaks here of the light He wishes to bring into this world through His message to Mother Eugenia. It is the vital realization that God the Father loves us and that we must receive the correct image of Him.

All too often, this image is distorted, making it difficult for people to open themselves to a loving Father whom they struggle to recognize.

False images of God need to be corrected—especially by those who can recognize our Father more deeply, who consciously live in His love, and who bear witness to it. That would be a powerful means.

And then, in the quote above, our Father expresses something that could almost take our breath away: “…to shut, if possible, the gates of hell!”

Let these words of love sink into our hearts. Our Father desires that—if possible—no one should come to this dreadful place of torment.

We know that He sent His Son for this very purpose: to offer salvation to all people and to forgive sins. Thus, the Father wishes to send us out once more with even greater resolve to bring salvation to people and to make His love known, just as His beloved Son did.

“…to shut, if possible, the gates of hell!” – We must do everything in our power to make this happen. This means allowing the Lord to enliven our holy faith, strengthening our zeal, and making use of the grace given to us.

“…to shut, if possible, the gates of hell!” – This is worth every effort on our part. No one should end up in this dreadful place if it can be avoided. All should repent and live.

Let us try to do what is within our power.
