There is no need to be afraid, little flock, for it has pleased your Father to give you the kingdom.
Sell your possessions and give to those in need. Get yourselves purses that do not wear out, treasure that will not fail you, in heaven where no thief can reach it and no moth destroy it. For wherever your treasure is, that is where your heart will be too. See that you have your belts done up and your lamps lit. Be like people waiting for their master to return from the wedding feast, ready to open the door as soon as he comes and knocks.
The one who so freely provides seed for the sower and food to eat will provide you with ample store of seed for sowing and make the harvest of your uprightness a bigger one you will be rich enough in every way for every kind of generosity that makes people thank God for what we have done.
‘Put this question, then, to the ages that are past, that have gone before you, from when God created the human race on earth: Was there ever a word so majestic, from one end of heaven to the other? Was anything like it ever heard? Did ever a people hear the voice of the living God speaking from the heart of the fire, as you have heard it, and remain alive? Has it ever been known before that any god took action himself to bring one nation out of another one, by ordeals, signs, wonders, war with mighty hand and outstretched arm, by fearsome terrors — all of which things Yahweh your God has done for you before your eyes in Egypt?
The Israelites, the whole community, arrived in the first month at the desert of Zin. The people settled at Kadesh. There Miriam died and was buried. There was no water for the community, so they banded together against Moses and Aaron. The people laid the blame on Moses. ‘We would rather have died’, they said, ‘as our brothers died before Yahweh! Why have you brought Yahweh’s community into this desert, for us and our livestock to die here? Why did you lead us out of Egypt, only to bring us to this wretched place? It is a place unfit for sowing, it has no figs, no vines, no pomegranates, and there is not even water to drink!’Leaving the assembly, Moses and Aaron went to the entrance of the Tent of Meeting. They threw themselves on their faces, and the glory of Yahweh appeared to them. Yahweh then spoke to Moses and said. ‘Take the branch and call the community together, you and your brother Aaron. Then, in full view of them, order this rock to release its water. You will release water from the rock for them and provide drink for the community and their livestock.’ Moses took up the branch from before Yahweh, as he had directed him. Moses and Aaron then called the assembly together in front of the rock. He then said to them, ‘Listen now, you rebels. Shall we make water gush from this rock for you?’ Moses then raised his hand and struck the rock twice with the branch; water gushed out in abundance, and the community and their livestock drank. Yahweh then said to Moses and Aaron, ‘Because you did not believe that I could dassert my holiness before the Israelites’ eyes, you will not lead this assembly into the country which I am giving them.’ These were the Waters of Meribah, where the Israelites laid the blame on Yahweh and where, by their means, he asserted his holiness.Read More
Through the reflections of the last days, we have had the opportunity to meet God the Father a little closer. Sometimes our own experiences might be an obstacle of recognizing the true image of God,if, for example, our own relationship to our father was more problematic than good.
But one should not be disturbed because of such circumstances and, more than ever, discover God as our loving Father. He can heal our wounds and fulfill our inner emptiness which might have come to us because of lacking sufficent love.Read More
The most beautiful thing we can give our father is our sincere love. We have heard at the beginning of our reflections that Jesus tells us: “He who has my commandments and keeps them, it is he who loves me” (Jn. 14:21). This is the necessary and lasting response, so that the love of our Father can not only call us , but also penetrate us.
God deserves honor, praise and glory, as the New Testament so wonderfully says (cf. Rev. 5:12).
If we could take a look at the heavens and see how much the angels and saints, who are fully sharing the loving communion with God, honor our Heavenly Father, then our attitude towards God would be penetrated with deeper love and honor.
How can we better honor our Father on Earth or at least try it?
In 1932, God Father appeared Madre Eugenia Ravasio. She wrote down the message of our Heavenly Father. After a long examination, the responsible bishop recognized the message as valid. So now we have a very precious little book: “A life for the glory of the Father.”
In this little book, God’s Father speaks strongly of his love for us human beeings. In ever new turns and perspectives he tells us his love.
