“Let me find you always watchful, so that I may count on you at all times” (Inner Word).
Our Father wants to place us totally at His service. To do this, He needs us to be attentive, that is, focused on Him. Therefore, it is important that we work on our interior disposition so that we are ready to receive all that our Father wants to entrust to us.
Mk 4:26-34
He also said, ‘This is what the kingdom of God is like. A man scatters seed on the land. Night and day, while he sleeps, when he is awake, the seed is sprouting and growing; how, he does not know. Of its own accord the land produces first the shoot, then the ear, then the full grain in the ear. And when the crop is ready, at once he starts to reap because the harvest has come.
Acts 22:3-16
“I am a Jew, born at Tarsus in Cili′cia, but brought up in this city at the feet of Gama′li-el, educated according to the strict manner of the law of our fathers, being zealous for God as you all are this day. I persecuted this Way to the death, binding and delivering to prison both men and women, as the high priest and the whole council of elders bear me witness. “If you live in My love, I will give you everything through My Holy Spirit and this will be your radiant light” (Inner Word).
“Do not be afraid, for I have redeemed you; I have called you by your name, you are mine” (Isa 43:1)
The Apostle Paul exclaims: “Can anything cut us off from the love of Christ?” (Rom 8:35), and then assures us that absolutely nothing – “neither death nor life, (…) nothing already in existence and nothing still to come, nor any power, (…) nor any created thing whatever, will be able to come between us and the love of God, known to us in Christ Jesus our Lord” (v. 38-39).
“Since man’s creation, I have never for one moment stopped living beside him. As his Creator and Father, I feel the need to love him” (Father’s message to Sister Eugenia Ravasio).
Let us deeply understand the extent to which the Father loves us, with total selflessness. God does not need us for Himself, because He is perfect in Himself and lacks nothing.
