A NEW HEART

101st Meditation on God the Father

“I shall give you a new heart, and put a new spirit in you; I shall remove the heart of stone from your bodies and give you a heart of flesh instead” (Ezek 36:26).

What is at stake is the heart of man! To whom does it belong?

Our Heavenly Father wants to dwell in our heart and make it receptive to His love, which He unceasingly offers us. The new heart that He gives us is one that is no longer hardened, that no longer closes itself off to love, that opens itself to the needs of all, that no longer tolerates the coldness that it still discovers in itself and allows the love of God to melt the layer of ice that often surrounds it. TRUST IN ME

100th Meditation on God the Father

Today marks one hundred days since we started with these daily reflections to know, honor and love our Heavenly Father more deeply; that is, this is the hundredth meditation of the “3 minutes for Abba”. Because of this, we have reason enough to thank our Father and all those who cooperate with us, pray for us and listen to us.

“Trust in me, I am your Father!” (inner word). Read More

THE GOOD DEEDS GOD HAS ORDAINED THAT WE SHOULD DO

99th Meditation on God the Father

“For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them” (Eph. 2:10).

The Father has prepared everything for us. Thus, it is not primarily a matter of actualizing our own ideas in our lives. Indeed, they are limited and countless, lined up one after the other without really pointing us in the right direction. Read More

Eccl 1:2-11

Sheer futility, Qoheleth says. Sheer futility: everything is futile! What profit can we show for all our toil, toiling under the sun? A generation goes, a generation comes, yet the earth stands firm for ever. The sun rises, the sun sets; then to its place it speeds and there it rises. Southward goes the wind, then turns to the north; it turns and turns again; then back to its circling goes the wind. Read More

ABIDE IN ME AND I IN YOU

98th Meditation on God the Father

“Abide in me and I in you” (inner word).

To abide means to stop and not to continue immediately to a next activity. We could also say “enjoy”. We should not pause and become stuck on earthly things. If we did, we would give them an importance that does not correspond to them and we ourselves would not obtain any real benefit, for our soul would not be filled with what it deeply longs for. Feast of St. Matthew, apostle and evangelist

Eph 4:1-7,11-13

I, the prisoner in the Lord, urge you therefore to lead a life worthy of the vocation to which you were called. With all humility and gentleness, and with patience, support each other in love. Take every care to preserve the unity of the Spirit by the peace that binds you together. There is one Body, one Spirit, just as one hope is the goal of your calling by God. Read More

MY HEART BELONGS TO YOU

97th Meditation on God the Father

“My heart belongs to you and your heart belongs to me” (Inner Word).

To such an extent does our Father want to be united with us! Let us never forget that the love relationship between God and humanity is a love story. The Lord wants the character of this relationship that He seeks with His children to correspond to the words quoted above: “My heart belongs to you and your heart belongs to me”. Read More
