474th Meditation
“For with thee is the fountain of life; in thy light do we see light” (Ps 36:9).
The Psalm speaks of that fountain which is also a recurring theme in the message of God the Father to Sister Eugenia Ravasio. There He invites us to drink from it and even to throw ourselves into the “ocean of God’s love”. It is the fountain of love that flows from the heart of our Father.
“He showed me the river of the water of life, bright as crystal, flowing from the throne of God and of the Lamb” (Rev 22:1).
This fountain is always open to us, because God’s love never dries up or runs out. On the contrary, it fills us with joy and renews us after every fall when we return to the fountain of life in repentance. Our inner eyes are opened when we drink from this fountain and taste the love of our Father. His light makes us see the light and then we recognise that the Lord has made everything out of love and that this is the origin of all creation. Without it, nothing can exist, everything would wither. There was no other reason for the Father to bring all creation into being than to share His love with it.
Your light, Lord, makes us see the light. You also open our eyes to contemplate the uncreated light that is You Yourself. In your light, everything has its place, its meaning, its specificity that comes from you. We always encounter your wisdom and we can only marvel.
This wonder never ceases. It is expressed in a praise that never ceases and that we raise, together with the angels, to the throne of your glory.
This is how you are!
Only in your light can we see you as you really are, and we shall spend eternity in wonder, gazing at you face to face, in adoration and infinite gratitude. There will be no more night, and all those who have responded to your love will be around us.
