“I would also like (…) that you could dedicate half an hour a day to console and love Me” (Message of God the Father to Sr. Eugenia Ravasio).
This is a request that our Father addresses to Mother Eugenia, but as she adds, it is what He desires from all His children: half an hour.
What other things can we subtract time from? Which activities are unimportant, and what could we leave aside to respond to this request? If we look, we will find the time.
What a comfort for our Father! It is evident that it is so simply by the fact that we take time for Him.
It is a consolation because people often do not have time for the One who wants to give them so much.
It is also a consolation to see that His creatures, whom He has raised to the status of children, think of Him.
They are not yet aware of what that means for Him and for themselves.
They do not yet know that God can only fill them with His love if they are ready to receive it.
This half hour will serve to prepare them.
This half hour can transform a whole life.
We have responded to the longing and request of the Heavenly Father, and in this way we show Him our love. This alone brings a new reality to life, marked by love.
A half hour is enough, but it is also a short time.
Once we have become accustomed to it, we won’t want to miss it. That time belongs to our Father, who is always waiting for us. In this way, we become His children and confidants, giving Him our hearts more and more deeply. We console Him, who sees how many hearts turn away from Him. We give Him the gift of our love, inviting Him to dwell in us always.
Half an hour, and then what? The next day, we will dedicate another half hour to Him, and then another half hour… Then, we will no longer be able to imagine life without it, and love will have triumphed.
And our Father? He will thank His children as only He is capable of doing.
