“I am the God of peace.” (Message from God the Father to Sister Eugenia Ravasio)
Our Father’s peace must reach people in the most diverse circumstances in which they may find themselves. In the message to Sister Eugenia Ravasio, the Lord refers specifically to families, workers and artisans of all kinds, the Christian community, humanity, and all nations—implying that He desires to be present in every area of human life and that wherever He is invoked, there will be no more wars.
Therefore, a central goal is that there will be no more wars. However, this is not something humanity can achieve on its own; rather, it is the fruit of knowing the being and goodness of God and all that He desires to grant to humanity. In the Book of Hosea, the Lord declares: “I will abolish the bow, the sword, and war from the land; and I will make you lie down in safety.” (Hosea 2:18) And Psalm 46 proclaims: “He makes wars cease to the end of the earth; he breaks the bow, and shatters the spear, he burns the chariots with fire.” (v. 9) Judith, for her part, exclaims: „The Lord is a God who crushes wars.” (Judith 16:2)
Thus, true peace—and the way to attain it—does exist. As human beings, we must respond to our Father’s love and submit to His guidance. It is understandable that humanity longs for peace. However, peace will not come on its own, especially if people break God’s commandments. While political efforts for peace are not without value, they are incapable of addressing the root causes of war. The Church is called to show people the path to true peace. It must proclaim that God will bring an end to wars when people convert and turn away from their evil ways. Only then will wars cease!
