“My Son is the vessel of this fountain, that men may go and draw from His Heart, which is always full to overflowing with the water of salvation!” (Message from God the Father to Sister Eugenia Ravasio).
Here we encounter the mystery of God’s love, which pours out His inexhaustible love for us through His Son. We only have to turn to Him, knock on the door of His Heart, and His love will pour out upon us in abundance. The water of salvation in the reservoir is always fresh and offered to people so that they may come and drink from it. What a sad situation it is when people cross the desert of this life without finding the water of salvation, without even seeking it, or even drinking contaminated water!
The Heart of the Son of God is open to us and longs for us to receive the love He offers. If we do not come to the source of living water, we waste God’s grace, as Jesus said to the Samaritan woman: “Whoever drinks of the water that I shall give him will never thirst; the water that I shall give him will become in him a spring of water welling up to eternal life” (Jn 4:14).
And not only do we harm ourselves if we waste it, but it pains the Lord not to be able to grant us His redeeming love. Wouldn’t any of us suffer to see the people we love failing to take advantage of the grace God offers them?
And there is another consequence: if we ourselves do not drink the water of salvation, we will not be able to show others where to find it. If we spoke of it merely because we had heard it, it would not be with conviction.
