“Time presses. I wish men to know as soon as possible that I love them and that I feel the greatest happiness in being with them and talking with them, like a father with his children” (Father’s message to Sister Eugenia Ravasio).
This is the urgency of the love that flows from the heart of our Heavenly Father; an urgency in many ways. Love wants to be reciprocated so that it can unfold its fruitfulness; it wants to save man so that he will not be condemned. Its urgency also comes from the fact that man’s time on earth is not unlimited.
Our Father wants to live with His children in that relationship which He has always intended for them and to which He has always wanted to bring them back, from the moment man lost his original beauty and intimacy with Him through the fall into sin. Obviously this relationship has not yet been sufficiently restored, otherwise human life in the world would be different.
Let us imagine for a moment what it would be like if all people on earth understood that they were beloved children of the Father and acted as such. We can get an idea, and many promises in the Holy Scripture allow us to imagine such a state.
This is no more and no less than what the Father wants for us, and as soon as possible, for time is short. Could God stand by and watch man fall further and further away from Him and even plunge into the abyss to share the fate of the demons for all eternity?
No! Our Father will do everything to make His love known to men and to show Himself to them as a loving Father who wants to bring His children back home and to dwell in them.
Time is pressing, for with each day that this desire of the Father is fulfilled, more light and love will come to mankind, and how important that would be in these dark times!
