THE POWER OF SIMPLICITY

“The simpler a thing is, the more force and power it possesses.” (Meister Eckhart)

We know that the Christian faith is not complicated. In fact, even children can assimilate it easily. This means that God and faith, the supreme good He bestows on us, are simple. Often, complications are obstacles to the “simple way.” We also know complicated people who find it difficult to follow simple and clear logic and who often add complications to matters that would be easy to resolve.

However, God grants us the ability to follow the inherent logic of things with simplicity, to draw the right conclusions and put them into practice. This gives us inner strength and fortitude. We do not stop halfway, hesitate, doubt, or go back to questioning everything and feeling insecure.

We can easily understand this through the example of faith. If we trust in our Father, welcome His Word, and abide by the Church’s doctrine, we will advance along the sure path. This is the key to facing all situations that come our way. Then, our life follows a clear, simple, and supernatural path—that is, the light of the Lord guides us. If we remain in it, it will bring us clarity, security, and the ability to better understand the difficult circumstances of life and find solutions. It’s that simple!

To allow God to help us resolve difficult situations, we must be attentive to the guidance of the Holy Spirit and willing to follow Him. When faced with things beyond our capacity, we must confidently pray and praise our Father, before whom nothing is hidden and who always knows the right way. This simplicity will be our strength.
