“In the path of righteousness is life” (Prov 12:28).
If you seek life, walk in the path of justice.
Justice is one of the cardinal virtues that ennobles human beings and orients them towards God. A person who practices justice has a guideline that opens the doors to true life. He has an important criterion of discernment because he judges according to justice, not personal interests.
However, on our journey with and toward the Lord, we do not remain only with this praiseworthy virtue instilled in our conscience. Our eyes are opened to see something greater: the One who became justice for us (cf. 2 Cor 5:21). In Him, we encounter divine justice. Whoever has eyes to see and ears to hear will not overlook the transparency and beauty of divine justice, but will surrender himself profoundly to it. He knows He will be judged justly. Here, there is no room for doubt, only pure truth.
A man who was clinically dead for a few moments and was transferred to heaven, where he met the saints, testified that in eternal life everything is totally clear. There is no uncertainty, and everything is like an open book bathed in the radiance of truth, evident to all.
Moreover, the Father grants us the supreme grace of His mercy. Our just God came into the world in the person of His Son to pay the price demanded by justice for us. Thanks to this act, we can share in true life in all its dimensions. Thus, it is clear where the path of justice leads. Blessed is he who sets out on it!
