THE MASTERPIECE OF CREATION

“It is My pleasure and delight to come among men, the masterpiece of My creation!” (Father’s message to Sister Eugenia Ravasio).

The apparition of our Heavenly Father that Mother Eugenia Ravasio was able to experience, and that the then Bishop of Grenoble, Bishop Caillot, recognized as a supernatural reality, had an essential motivation on the part of God: the Father wants us to know Him as He really is. Apart from the fact that so many people do not know Him at all, and others have only a vague or even false idea of Him, Christians themselves – who should know Him through His Son Jesus Christ – often do not yet have the true image of our Father. This is what He laments, and this is why, throughout the Message, the Heavenly Father tries in every possible way to assure mankind of His love.

The phrase chosen for today’s meditation also manifests His love in a wonderful way: God is happy to be in our midst and loves to be with us! In many passages of the message, He lets us know that He longs to be with us, even going so far as to say that this is paradise for Him.

I believe that we must deeply assimilate these affirmations so that the true image of God may be consolidated in us. He, the Almighty, the Father, who is perfect in Himself and who lacks nothing, is pleased with us. Such is He!

A child who knows that he is loved would certainly be able to assimilate this easily if it were properly communicated to him. It is generally more difficult for us as adults who have collided with our own abysses, who have lived through difficult experiences and who are confronted with the turmoil of this world.

But it is no less true that the Lord is pleased with us and wants to live in our midst!

As we continue to read today’s passage, our breath is almost taken away: the Father describes us as the masterpiece of His creation.

We have certainly heard it before, but have we really absorbed it? Have we allowed this truth to take root in our hearts? We cannot help but marvel at the way God looks at us and recognize His love. This is how our Father is!

Then the desire grows in us to live as befits the masterpiece of His creation, for the joy of God and humanity.
