“THE GREATEST JOY”

‘The greatest joy in life is the conviction of being loved’ (Saint Dominic of Guzmán).

All people could share in this happiness, even if their circumstances in life are difficult. This is truly so, for God loves all people. In this certainty lies the greatest happiness for every creature. No one is excluded from it, and our Heavenly Father invites all people to know His love and to live in it.

But for this to happen, they must encounter this love so that they can live in this conviction. Therefore, it becomes even more important for us to make known in word and deed the love of our Heavenly Father for men, so that they may come into contact with Him through us. They should listen to and take to heart, for example, these words that our Heavenly Father addressed to Mother Eugenia when He appeared to her to establish the work of His love:

‘Peace and salvation to this house and to the whole world! May My power, My love and My Holy Spirit touch men’s hearts, so that all mankind may turn to salvation and come to its Father, Who seeks it, to love and to save it!’

God seeks every soul and wants to make it understand in every possible way that He loves it without any interest: ‘My sole desire: to love you and be loved in return by you.’

But often dense shadows and negative experiences loom over the souls of men, so that they no longer believe in love. Nevertheless, we must not slacken in our prayers that these shadows may be dispelled and a ray of light may fall upon those souls in need, so that they may assimilate these words of the Heavenly Father: ‘I am the sun that shines, warms and re-warms. Look, and recognize that I am your Creator, your Father, your one and only God. ’
