“I want to show you that I come among you through My Holy Spirit” (Message of the Father to Sr. Eugenia Ravasio).
If through the gift of the fear of God, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father sends to us as our inner Master, awakens in us a great vigilance to avoid everything that could displease Him; through the gift of piety, He increases our love for our Heavenly Father. This gift moves us to do and strive for everything that could please our Father. Thus, it is the spirit of piety that conquers our Father’s Heart, so to speak, by making us eager to fulfill God’s Will in all things. How could our Father resist, since in this way the relationship of love between Him and His children begins to unfold and they come to know His love better and better?
True piety makes our relationship with the Father attractive, and as love grows, it acquires a great naturalness. If our Father has allowed us to conquer His Heart, He will also let us drink from it. Its doors will always remain open to us, and then we will receive those joys described in the Father’s Message in these words:
“You will begin to live, here and now, in the love and the trust which will make you happy in eternity and which you will sing in heaven in the company of the elect. Is this not a foretaste of the happiness of heaven, which will last for ever?”
