After the novena in preparation for the Feast of God the Father, which we celebrated yesterday, today we return to the usual format of our “3 minutes for Abba”. For today and tomorrow, I have chosen two passages from the Message of God the Father which seem to me to be appropriate for an ever deeper insight into the Heart of our Heavenly Father.
“May My power, My love and My Holy Spirit touch men’s hearts, so that all mankind may turn to salvation and come to its Father, Who seeks it, to love and to save it!” (Message of the Father to Sr. Eugenia Ravasio).
These words of the Father summarize well His all-embracing love. All human beings must return to Him and no one is excluded from the salvation He offers to all without exception. Only man can exclude himself and close himself off from God’s love.
This affirmation of our Father is very significant for us Catholics, who have the grace to know and understand God’s plan of salvation better and better, and to understand much of what He has already accomplished and continues to accomplish so that His plan may be fulfilled.
Our Father seeks people, all without exception. If we have already been found by His love, are we not invited to join His search? In fact, we only have to lean back into His Heart and listen attentively, and then we will perceive the fire of our Father’s love that wants to infect us and inflame our inner being. He will say to us, “I want to touch the hearts of all people. Will you help me?”
And what will the Holy Spirit do? He will keep this desire of the Heavenly Father burning in us.
And what about us? Let us do what is in our hands! The Lord will reward us!
