326th Meditation
“If you knew this Father (…), would not then this love which you would offer me (…) extend itself to the rest of humanity who still do not know this Christian society and who know even less Him Who created them and is their Father?” (The Father’s message to Sister Eugenia Ravasio).
This affirmation of our Father gives us a glimpse into His plans of salvation. His goal is that all people learn to know, honour and love Him as their Father, so that, living as children of God, they can welcome what He has in store for them.
Therefore, our response of love in coming to know Him more deeply is also to serve the salvation of souls. Indeed, not only are we His beloved children, who day by day can live from His love and in His love, but He also enables and honours us by making us His witnesses and workers in His vineyard.
Every act of love counts and acquires immeasurable value if we do it in union with God. Every person is valuable in the Kingdom of our Lord. No one is too small not to be able to do something great for God.
A great thing we can do is to love, to give ourselves completely to God’s love and put ourselves at His service. Indeed, love is the greatest of all gifts and surpasses all others, as the Apostle to the Gentiles tells us (1 Cor 13:13).
Thus, our Father counts on our love, with which we can serve Him as true children and carry out His works. This love is to be extended to the rest of humanity, especially to those who have not yet recognised God as their Father. All of them must receive this Good News, through the words and deeds of those who have already had the grace to know the Lord.
For our part, it takes a broad heart to learn to understand this intimate love of our Heavenly Father and then to contemplate other people in this same love. Deep knowledge of our Father will enlarge our heart and make it receptive to accept His infinite love. Thus, it will become a heart through which God can call His own back home.
