THE ENCOUNTER WITH THE TRUE KING

Beloved Father, we constantly bring many intentions before You. Yet this time, it is a very significant and specific request.

In today’s meditation, we reflected on how Your Son is King and how His Kingdom must extend to all people. Certainly, this is not a dominion that can be imposed by worldly means. Rather, it is the sovereignty of love—the reign of the Messiah, the Savior of all. When all willingly submit to His yoke and follow Jesus, communion with You and true unity among people arise.

Yet precisely here, in Jerusalem, where You, beloved Jesus, established Your reign through Your expiatory love for humanity, the alarming sound of sirens announcing missile or drone attacks—bearers of death and destruction—is heard daily. The same is true in other parts of the world where war prevails. But why must it be so?

If all people—whether in Israel, Iran, or anywhere else—knew You and, through You, honored and loved the heavenly Father, peace would descend like comforting dew upon the nations. They would willingly submit to God’s reign and treat one another as brothers, respecting and honoring each other.

But, beloved Father, this unity cannot be achieved by human means, no matter how much goodwill there may be. Nor will it be possible to achieve it through some kind of “interreligious brotherhood” without conversion and without a true encounter with Your Son, for He alone can give us a new heart, capable of loving as He does.

You already know, beloved Father, the request I present to You today in a special way: that the Jewish people and Muslims may experience a true encounter with Your Son, the true King of heaven and earth. Then peace will come—and it will be a lasting peace.
