LOOK WITH ME TO THE FATHER

303rd Meditation

“Look with me to the Father and you will achieve all things, whatever they may be” (Inner Word).

As we look with Jesus to the Father, everything that happens is transformed and becomes a constant surrender to our Heavenly Father. Nothing that Jesus said and did was ever contrary to the Will of God. Rather, the Son of God leads all humanity in need of redemption back to the Father.

Although Jesus fulfilled His mission in this world and returned to the Father, He left us His gaze of love for the Father, for us to imitate. “Follow me” (Mt 4:19) – says the Lord to His disciples on the shore of the Sea of Galilee, and they followed Him in all His ways, except the one who betrayed Him. If we want to immerse ourselves completely in God’s love already in this earthly life, then, in imitation of the Lord, we must raise our eyes to the Father. Looking at Him, we must offer Him all of the suffering and forgetfulness of God in this world, asking Him that mankind may accept the grace of Redemption.

By looking with Jesus to the Heavenly Father, we can dare everything, because for Him nothing is impossible and we will achieve everything, whatever it may be.

As we look with Jesus to the Heavenly Father, we will remain faithful to the mission He has entrusted to us, just as He was faithful until death.

As we look with Jesus to the Heavenly Father, we will thirst to help souls on their journey with God, so that their thirst may be quenched and He may fill them with His love.

If we look with Jesus to the Father, then, in the midst of suffering for this world far from God, we will always find refuge in the Lord and in the Father, for He offered to His Father the suffering of the whole world.

If we look with Jesus to the Father, we will do as He did and we can share in the love with which the Father loved His only begotten Son.
