GOD GIVES HIMSELF

“When I am in you, I can more easily give you what I possess, provided that you ask Me for it.” (Message from God the Father to Sister Eugenia Ravasio)

These words from our Heavenly Father refer to receiving the Holy Eucharist, which He entrusted to His Son to institute. Although our Father can enter the soul of human beings in other ways as well, Holy Communion is the eminent way in which He dwells in us.

It is easy to understand that by receiving the Holy Host, the Lord comes to us and unites Himself with us. What a wonderful way He has chosen! If we consider the Holy Mass as a whole, it is a great work of spiritual art that actualizes the sacrifice of Jesus on Calvary. Through the hands of the priest, who represents Our Lord Jesus Christ, Holy Communion is administered to us. As long as we are in a state of grace—clothed in the wedding garment of the Lamb—God enters us and gives us everything He possesses, if we ask.

What an act of love from God toward us, human beings! He left us the Holy Eucharist, celebrated day after day, so the faithful would never be without heavenly manna during their pilgrimage through this world. May the Lord preserve this great treasure and remind us that we can ask Him to fill us with all His blessings! Our Father does not impose Himself, but stands at the door and knocks (cf. Rev 3:20). If we open the door, He will enter and grant us His peace. This is what happens when we receive Holy Communion. Let us ask Him to give Himself to us more deeply each time we receive Communion and fill us more fully with Himself. Our Father will not hesitate to grant such a request!
