GOD DELIGHTS IN THE MASTERPIECE OF HIS CREATION

In the following reflections I will draw on passages from God the Father’s Message to Sister Eugenia Ravasio, a private revelation from 1932, which is worth reading in its entirety. It can be found at the following link:

“The painter delights in contemplating the picture he has painted. In the same way, it is My pleasure and delight to come among men, the masterpiece of My creation!” (Message of God the Father to Sister Eugenia Ravasio).

These words are among the first that God the Father addressed to Mother Eugenia. They immediately reveal to us the loving gaze with which our Father contemplates humanity. Do we not rejoice at the beauty of a child or at the wonders of nature? Are not our hearts filled with love and delight?

So it is with our Heavenly Father when He looks at us human beings, even though it may not be so easy for us to believe this in the face of our weaknesses and abysses. But this is what our Father assures us in today’s phrase, and it is true! We can be sure that God does not dwell on our shadows, but on the marvels He has sown in us, and how He rejoices to see these seeds unfold under the influence of His grace!

Our Father appeared to Mother Eugenia with the joy of reaching all people through her. Sister Eugenia was prepared for His coming. She expressed it this way:

“Today the long days of preparation are over, and I feel close, so close, to the coming of my Father and the Father of all men. A few minutes of prayer, and then what spiritual joys! I was overwhelmed by the desire to see Him and hear Him! My heart, burning with love, opened up with such great confidence that I realized that, until then, I had never been so trusting with anyone. The thought of my Father made me, as it were, madly happy. Finally I began to hear singing. Angels came to announce this glad arrival…”
