God brings those who believe in Him into an ever deeper relationship with Him, and purifies them of all that hinders them from fully receiving His love. If they live in this trust that the Father asks of them, they will shine as “the light of the world” (Mt 5:14).
“And light shines in darkness…” (Jn 1:5).
Love then urges them to go out in search of those who do not yet know God, or who do not know Him well. They must learn that they have a Father, who is their Creator and Redeemer. It is not only those who have already found their way in the Church, but the Father calls all human beings. This is how He addresses them through the Message He entrusted to Mother Eugenia:
“You, My children, who are outside the Catholic Church, should realize that you are not excluded from My fatherly love. I am making this tender appeal to you because you too are My children. If you have lived up to now in the devil’s snares, acknowledge that he has cheated you. Come to Me, your Father, and I will receive you with joy and love!”
Men can and must learn that the Lord is calling them to turn from all the ways of perdition. Then they will recognise that, as long as they did not seek their happiness and salvation in God, they had been deceived. Salvation cannot be found in other religions either, for they all lack the Redeemer, who opens the way to God by nailing the guilt of the world to the cross (cf. Colossians 2:14).
Thus the Father also addresses the members of other religions:
“And you, who only know the religion in which you have grown up, and that religion is not the true one, open your eyes. Here is your Father, He Who created you and Who wants to save you. I come to you to bring you the truth and salvation. I can see that you do not know Me and do not realize that all I want is for you to know Me as your Father, Creator and Saviour.”
