“With joy you will draw water from the wells of salvation” (Is 12:3).
These words of the prophet convey to us the consolation that our Heavenly Father promises to His faithful people. They are taken from the so‑called “Song of Thanksgiving of the Rescued.” The fountains of salvation are overflowing.
In the Message to Sister Eugenia Ravasio, our Father expresses it this way: “I have just opened up a fountain of living water which will never dry up from now until the end of time (…). I also want to open up My Heart to you, whence a refreshing spring will issue and where all men will quench their thirst.”
Our Father then specifies: “Since the time when I promised men a Savior, I have let this spring gush forth. I made it pass through My Son’s Heart to reach you.”
We know, then, that the waters of salvation spring from the loving Heart of God, which is always there for us to drink from. Our Father is the torrent of grace, and our Lord Jesus Christ is “the reservoir of this fountain.” We can always come to Him and drink from His Heart.
Our Father does not fail to tell us how we can find this fountain: “I will show you this fountain by making Myself known to you as I am.”
And then He gives us the key to how we may approach Him: “Oh, come by the path of confidence, call Me your Father, love Me in spirit and truth, and this will be enough to make this refreshing and powerful water quench your thirst.”
The invitation is made: “To all who are thirsty: Come to the waters and drink freely from the fountain of life” (cf. Is 55:1).
