The Father not only entrusted to our care the irrational Creation, but also the world, which is to be shaped by humankind. If with regard to our responsibility towards creation the Father emphasised that we should treat it with wisdom, for the administration of the world He mentions holiness and saving justice as criteria. Those qualities which our Father possesses in fullness – holiness and justice – and which we can receive from Him, He wants to see reflected in us when we assume responsibility in the human world. In the hands of our Saviour, in which the Father has placed us, we can pass safely through the time of our earthly life and face in the right way the dangers that come our way. They can never gain power over us, no matter how threatening they may seem. Our Father’s compassion goes hand in hand with His loving Omnipotence. If it were not so, how often would people have destroyed themselves, would have had to drink the bitter cup of their sins themselves and bear the consequences of their faults without mitigation. “Those who trust in him will understand the truth, those who are faithful will live with him in love” (Wis 3:9a).

In a heart that trusts in the Father the truth can penetrate, for God draws it to Himself and fills it with Himself. Such a heart detaches itself from the false securities that bind it to a world of illusions, so that our Father can fully awaken love for Him in this heart. Thus, the heart surrenders itself completely to Him. God enters it and dwells in it. He is no longer just an occasional guest, but makes this heart His temple, the sanctuary of His presence, His dwelling place…. Read More

It is the mystics who can vividly describe to us the love of God, often using ecstatic language, as sometimes happens on the human plane with lovers, who want to express their love.

These mystics are as if enraptured, because the overwhelming divine love has opened up the depths of their soul, pouring into them and overflowing as well. They can hardly contain it!
