THE FATHER GIVES US THE MOST PRECIOUS GIFT

184th Meditation

“Could I give a more precious gift to humankind than my only-begotten Son?” (Interior Word).

In these days when the so-called “O Antiphons” prepare us for the Coming of the Savior, we can take a deep look into the Heart of our Father. Indeed, it was He who sent us His Son, thus giving us what He loves most and doing for us the most He could have done. Read More

 A CONTRITE HEART

183rd Meditation

“A broken and contrite heart you, God, will not despise” (Ps 50:17).

A contrite heart is a great treasure for our Father. A contrite heart has put aside all self-defense and has acquired a profound awareness of the abysses that are still within it. It has discovered that, of itself, it would not be able to do good, and that its inclination to evil would prevail if it were left to itself and did not rely on grace. This awareness shakes the soul, making it ready to throw itself completely into the arms of God, without vanity or conditions. Therefore, a contrite heart is a treasure for the Father. Read More

“ADAM, WHERE ARE YOU?” (Part II)

182nd Meditation

The anguished search of the Heavenly Father for us continues ever since we lost the union with God which we enjoyed in Paradise. Every time we go astray, every time we turn away from “the fountain of living waters, to become cracked cisterns” (Jer 2:13), we hear in the background the call of the Father:

“Adam, where are you?” (Gen 3:9b). Read More

WHO CAN DETECT HIS OWN FAILINGS?

181st Meditation

“Who can detect his own failings? Wash away my hidden faults” (Ps 19:13).

With sincere self-knowledge, the psalmist confidently addresses the Heavenly Father, knowing well how easily man remains trapped in self-deception: “Who can detect his own failings?” He wants to make sure that nothing stands between him and his God, and thus gives us an example of how we can pray: “Wash away my hidden faults”. HOW SWEET IT IS TO LIVE IN THE TRUTH

180º Meditation

“And you who are in the true light, tell them how sweet it is to live in the truth!” (Father’s message to Sr. Eugenia Ravasio).

Our Father always has in mind the salvation of all, who are called to live in such a way that the meaning of their existence is fulfilled completely and that they experience “how sweet it is to live in the truth”. Therefore, it is not surprising that our Father encourages His own to transmit the truth to others, especially to those who are still trapped in darkness. Read More

THE FIRST WORD UPON AWAKENING

178th Meditation

When I awake in the morning, You, Father, are already there, and all night You have watched over me. Then You expect me to turn to You and my first word to be consecrated to You, gladly and joyously! But sometimes I forget and let myself be carried away by moods. What a pity!

How important is this first word: the greeting to You! It places me in the truth of being, for who in the order of the redeemed Creation would not greet You? Read More

THE GLORY OF JESUS IS ALSO THE GLORY OF THE FATHER

177th Meditation

The more we love Jesus, the more we love our Heavenly Father, who sent Him into the world. Everything we do to the glory and honour of the Son of God also glorifies the One from whom He proceeds. Through Jesus, we come to the Father (cf. Jn 14:6).

However, the Father desires to be honoured with an own feast and cult, even beyond the Solemnity of the Most Holy Trinity. Read More

GOD´S GREATEST GIFT

176th Meditation

What great mercy you had towards us in sending us your Son Jesus! With incomparable love you set your gaze upon us, who so often run away from you or even turn against you, who offend you with our sins or simply forget you. You, on the other hand, are always present and look at us with love. You care attentively for us, because you do not want us to lead a meaningless life, let alone to be lost forever. Read More

THE HEAVEN OF GOD

175th Meditation

“Your heaven, My creatures, is in paradise, together with My chosen ones, because it is there that you will contemplate Me in an everlasting vision and will enjoy eternal glory. My heaven is on earth with you all, o men! Yes, it is on earth and in your souls that I look for My happiness and My joy. You can provide Me with this joy and it is also your duty towards your Creator and Father, Who desires and expects this of you” (Father’s Message to Sr. Eugenia Ravasio). Read More
