2 November 2025:
Unfortunately, we must witness Leo XIV continuing to relativise the Catholic faith, just as his predecessor did. A few months before his death, Francis publicly stated to the scandal of the faithful that all religions are paths to God1. By making this statement, he devalued all missionary work intended to proclaim the Gospel to all peoples so that they might attain salvation in Christ and find the true faith.
Leo XIV, clearly following in Francis’ footsteps, caused a stir with some statements in his homily on 26 October 2025. At the Mass for the ‘Jubilee of Synodal Teams’, he declared, ‘No one possesses the whole truth; we must all humbly seek it and seek it together.’2
While it is true that no one personally possesses the whole truth, and that we must always deepen our understanding of it, we do have the certainty that the Catholic Church is the seat of truth. Church doctrine affirms that, as the Mystical Body of Christ and guided by the Holy Spirit, the Church possesses and proclaims the truth of the faith in its entirety. In the First Letter to Timothy, St Paul describes the Church as the ‘pillar and support of the truth’ (1 Tim 3:15). The Catechism of the Catholic Church reaffirms that the ecclesiastical Magisterium has the authority to proclaim dogmas and immutable truths of faith3.
The aforementioned statements by Leo XIV do not contribute to confirming the faithful in the faith by virtue of the Petrine ministry (cf. Lk 22:32), but rather exacerbate the insecurity and confusion that has already been generated in them. If ecclesiastical authority no longer considers it its task to proclaim the truth to men, as entrusted to it by Christ, the Head of the Church (cf. Mt 28:18-19), then it renounces its mission. Not only does it renounce its mission, it also renounces the Lord Himself, who said: ‘I am the Way; I am Truth and Life’ (Jn 14:6). Therefore, this renunciation, disguised as humility, becomes the proclamation of a falsehood. In these statements, Leo is not proclaiming the Gospel, but his own deceptions and relativisations, inspired by a ‘different spirit’.
As with his predecessor, we see an abuse of the Petrine ministry here, to undermine the Catholic Church from within and transform it into a different entity. The spirit of the Antichrist is already at work here, seeking to bring down the last bastion against his coming: the Church. Once transformed and increasingly apostate, the Antichrist will use the Church as an instrument to establish his dominion for as long as it is useful to him.
If perception does not deceive, then we must expect a prompt public manifestation of an Antichrist, or even the ‘last Antichrist’ prophesied in the Holy Scriptures. The faithful must be prepared! When that time comes, it will be difficult to live the Catholic faith, except in the ‘spiritual desert’ where it will be preserved as handed down by the apostles and the Church throughout the centuries. It is best that we anticipate this and retreat to that desert now. From there, we must then offer appropriate resistance. In the current circumstances, it is impossible to make concessions, let alone cooperate with the path taken by Rome. To remain faithful to the Lord, we must make clear decisions.
