454th Meditation
“All peoples come to worship You and give glory to Your name, because You are the Holy God, living, true and good” (Hymn of Praise to the Most Holy Trinity).
So it should be and so it will be, once the darkness has been separated from the light and our Father has finally restored the order of love in the chaos created by sin.
Every day we pray: “Thy kingdom come, thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven”. In the Kingdom of Heaven the separation of spirits has already taken place: “The great dragon was thrown down, that ancient serpent, who is called the Devil and Satan, the deceiver of the whole world- he was thrown down to the earth, and his angels were thrown down with him” (Rev 12:9).
On earth, too, there will be a separation of spirits, and each person will have to choose between worshipping and giving glory to our Heavenly Father, the holy, mighty and living God, or being seduced into disregarding or even rejecting Him.
By worshipping God and following Christ, believers have already made this choice and the reign of God’s love has been established in their hearts. However, the glorification and praise of God is not reserved for a few, but all the peoples of the earth are to honour Him, so that the Father may grant His peace and true order may be established on earth as it is in heaven.
For this to happen, the Gospel must be proclaimed authentically, so that people may look up to the Father with Jesus. This is the first mission of the Church: “Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you” (Mt 28:19-20a).
When this happens, our Father will be honoured.
