“I cannot give My beloved Son another time to prove My love for men! I am now coming among them in order to love them and to make them know this love, assuming their image, their poverty. Look, now I am putting aside My crown and all My glory to take on the appearance of an ordinary man!” (Father’s message to Sister Eugenia Ravasio).
Our Father’s greatest gift to humanity is His beloved Son, whom He sent into the world for our salvation. We know that eternal life consists in knowing the Father and Jesus Christ, whom He sent (Jn 17:3). This certainty should be enough for the Church to proclaim tirelessly the coming of Jesus and to make it real in various ways.
But have people already sufficiently recognised and accepted this gift of salvation? Are they already living a full and convincing Christian life?
No doubt there are those who do. But are they many, and are they the whole of humanity as God intended?
Certainly it must be said that there is still a long way to go, both in the knowledge of God and in the spread of the Gospel.
We understand, therefore, that God Himself has set out, so to speak, to awaken our love for Him more deeply. In the message that has come to us through Mother Eugenia Ravasio, our Father insists again and again on the shortcomings that still exist in our relationship with Him, pointing out that people do not yet know Him as He really is.
Our Father wants to remedy this shortcoming, and for this reason He is once again granting humanity the special grace of His presence and the revelation of His love for us. The Father began this “work of love” on the Feast of the Most Precious Blood of Christ, thus linking it to the sacrifice of His Son for humanity and making us understand that time is short.
