In His solicitous love, our Father has foreseen and prepared everything for His children. He not only offers us natural goods with great wisdom and love so that we may delight in them by gratefully attributing them to our Father as their origin, but much more still He showers us with spiritual goods, so that we may increasingly admire His love manifested in them.
But above all, He has given us in His Son Jesus Christ the sure way of salvation that leads to Him, a way that is infallible and without danger of going astray. Everyone can follow it. In the midst of the confusions of this world, in spite of the constant attempts of the powers of evil to disturb the ways of God, in a time when evil is beginning to be seen as good and people are being deceived everywhere, the Lord is still there! If we follow Jesus, nothing can separate us from the love of God. But because His beloved children are so weak, our Heavenly Father gives them so many remedies through the Church so that they will not faint on the way after they have fallen.
Jesus prayed for His own (Jn 17), and our Father received His prayers, His words and deeds, answering them with superabundant blessings for mankind. As we encounter Jesus, we receive all these blessings and become receptive to God’s love. And all the love and gratitude we show to Jesus glorifies our Father. God will watch over us jealously so that, through the path He has marked out for us in His Son, we will finally come to Him. That is for sure!
