“You can entrust everything to me and always pour out your heart to me” (Inner Word).
How much it would help people to respond to this invitation of our Heavenly Father! Isn’t that what we are longing for? Aren’t we looking for someone we can trust without reservation, someone who will listen to us and understand us?
No one should have to suffer alone, or carry a burden that is beyond them, or even bring them to despair. Our Heavenly Father knows not only our needs but also the way out of every situation and is always able to comfort us.
Not only should we pour out our needs to Him, but we can also share with Him all that we carry in our hearts: the questions that trouble us, the thoughts that move us, and all the joys that delight us, because our Father wants us to share everything with Him, without exception.
In this way a relationship of trust is established and we realise that the more we entrust ourselves to Him, the more our Father communicates Himself to us. He will respond to our trust with His presence. In this way, all the obstacles that stand in the way of this trusting relationship are also pushed aside. Instead, a true friendship with Him is born. In fact, through Mother Eugenie, He tells us that He wants to be not only our Father, but also our friend and confidant.
We can also ask Him questions when we do not understand something. The important thing is to do it with the right attitude, knowing that God’s plans for us are always perfect, even if we do not understand them yet. Then our questions will be more like the one the Virgin Mary asked the angel: “How shall this be?” She received the answer. So it will be with us if we put our questions to the Lord in Mary’s way.
