“To us a child is born” (Is 9:6).
Could our Father have done better? Of course not! Otherwise, He would have done it differently.
Thus, the Child of Bethlehem is the most beautiful gift that the Heavenly Father has given to humanity with all His love. Let us contemplate the Child! Does He not conquer our hearts? That is precisely what He wants! He does not need riches for Himself; otherwise, the Father would have given them to Him. He was born poor, but surrounded by the love of Mary and Joseph, and that was enough for Him!
The Child of Bethlehem wants us to love Him and to truly respond to His coming into this world. Is it so difficult to give this to Him? Not really. Who does not delight in the innocence of a child? And how much more in that of the Divine Child!
Yet there are many who do not know Him or pass Him by…
But look, O man: there lies in a manger your Savior, the gift of the Eternal Father.
Don’t you want to see Him? What could happen to you?
I’ll tell you what could happen if you look at Him: He will steal your heart, you will know a love you have never experienced before, you will find true happiness, and the Child will lead you to your Father in heaven.
That’s what it’s all about!
A Child is born to us… He is the Child who comes to reveal the Heavenly Father to us. When He grows up, He will give His life for you so that you will not be lost forever, but may live forever with God. He will do this because the Father has sent Him to redeem you and all of us.
Look at the Child! You will find no greater love or deeper truth.
A Child has been born to us… To know Him is to live! Come to Him and you will live!
