THE MESSIAH HAS COME

“To you is born this day in the city of David a Savior, who is Christ the Lord” (Luke 2:11).

This is the Good News for all time: our Heavenly Father had it announced by the angels to His people Israel, with a view to all humanity. It is the holy and joyful message that God has not forgotten mankind. Man, who lost his original state of innocence and sinned against God, needs a Savior. He cannot redeem himself. He needs to encounter the love of God, who has mercy on him in his condition and offers him true life.

With the start of the new year, I would like to begin systematically meditating on a book of the Holy Scriptures again. This time, I have chosen the Epistle of James. Jas 1:2-18

Count it all joy, my brethren, when you meet various trials, for you know that the testing of your faith produces steadfastness. And let steadfastness have its full effect, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking in nothing. If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask God, who gives to all men generously and without reproaching, and it will be given him. But let him ask in faith, with no doubting, for he who doubts is like a wave of the sea that is driven and tossed by the wind. For that person must not suppose that a double-minded man, unstable in all his ways, will receive anything from the Lord.
