Fraternal correction

Mt 18:15-20

Jesus said to his disciples: “if thy brother shall offend against thee, go, and rebuke him between thee and him alone. If he shall hear thee, thou shalt gain thy brother. And if he will not hear thee, take with thee one or two more: that in the mouth of two or three witnesses every word may stand.  And if he will not hear them: tell the church.

THE CONSTANT PRESENCE OF THE FATHER

417th Meditation

“Remember that you are not alone: a Father thinks of you and offers you a share in the unfathomable privileges of His love” (Father’s message to Sr. Eugenia Ravasio).

Our Father exhorts all people to think of Him. These words of His remind us of the exhortation that St. Benedict addressed to His monks, calling them to do everything in the presence of God. Read More

MARIAN MEDITATIONS (3/3) – Mary: Bride of the Holy Spirit

Download MP3

Beloved Virgin, how many manifestations of love shine forth in you!

In relation to the Father, we see you as a loving daughter; to the Son you are mother and disciple; to the Holy Spirit you are united in a spousal love.

If already here, in our earthly reality, we are moved by the tender love of a human spouse, and can observe how she blossoms and turns her whole heart and attention to her husband, how much more so is it with you, since your Bridegroom is the Holy Spirit Himself!

EYES OPENED

416th Meditation

“When I contemplate with open eyes what You, my God, have created, I already possess heaven here” (St. Hildegard of Bingen).

We need eyes that see and ears that hear (Mt 13:16). Once these are opened, we begin to contemplate the glory of God. We discover everywhere the Father’s love in action, either to make His love known to us directly, or to fill us in superabundance with His beauty, or to heal the sick, remove evil from us and impel us to do all the infinite good that the infinitely Good One willed that we should do. WATCHFULNESS IN SPEAKING

415th Meditation

“Let my speech be acceptable to him: but I will take delight in the Lord” (Ps 103:34).

Vigilance in speaking is very pleasing to the Lord. In fact, He Himself exhorts us to clarity and unambiguity in our speech: “Let your speech be ‘Yes, yes’; ‘no, no’. That which is over and above these, is of evil” (Mt 5:37). The words that come from our lips must be like crystal-clear, unclouded water, flowing from a purified heart and rejoicing God and people. MARIAN MEDITATIONS (2/3) – Mary: Mother of the Son

Download MP3

How exalted is the election granted to you, beloved Mother of our Lord Jesus Christ!

With astonishment we note that not only the Son of God Himself was entrusted to you, but also all those who belong to Him and sing the song of the redeemed (cf. Rev 14:3). And even more: you are the Mother of all men, and you become light and consolation for those who return home.

Many people come to you full of trust and appeal to your motherly heart, because they understand that your divine Son hears your pleas. Read More

MARIAN MEDITATIONS (1/3) – Mary: Daughter of the Father

Download MP3

Could one imagine a daughter of the Heavenly Father more enchanting than you, beloved Virgin Mary?

A daughter who so enraptures her Father that He entrusts to her the most precious thing: His beloved Son.

No, there can be no equal to you.

You are the one whom the Lord has chosen. Only God, the Holy One, knows all your beauty, with which He Himself adorned you; and He knows with what joy and tenderness you filled His Heart, seeing you in the splendour of His grace.

THE RETURN OF THE PRODIGAL SONS

414th Meditation

“If there is something that I desire, (…) it is the return of the prodigal sons to their Father’s house. I am referring in particular to the Jews…” (Father’s message to Sister Eugenia Ravasio).

If our Father’s wishes are most sacred to us, we can easily understand that one of His great concerns is that the Jewish People, His “Firstborn”, return to Him. The Apostle Paul was so inflamed with love for his people that, in his zeal, he uttered these words: “For I wished myself to be an anathema from Christ, for my brethren, who are my kinsmen according to the flesh” (Rom 9:3). THE DWELLING OF GOD IN THE SOUL

413th Meditation

“As for you, souls in a state of sin, or who are ignorant of religious truth, I will not be able to enter you; however, I will be close to you, because I never stop calling you, inviting you to desire to receive the benefits I bring you, so that you may see the light and be healed of sin” (Father’s message to Sister Eugenia Ravasio).

Here the Father expresses the great love with which He follows each soul, never ceasing to call her. However, He cannot dwell in a soul that is in a state of sin. Read More

Acting in faith

Mt 17:14-20

When Jesus was come to the multitude, there came to him a man falling down on his knees before him, saying: Lord, have pity on my son, for he is a lunatic, and suffereth much: for he falleth often into the fire, and often into the water. And I brought him to thy disciples, and they could not cure him. Then Jesus answered and said: O unbelieving and perverse generation, how long shall I be with you?
