TEN POUNDS OF GOLD

237th Meditation

“I am just, it is true, but love pays for everything! Listen, My children, let us make a comparison, and you will be assured of My love. For Me, your sins are like iron, and your acts of love like gold. If you gave Me a thousand pounds of iron, it would not be like giving Me just ten pounds of gold! Certainly all of us want to love our Lord Jesus Christ more than we do now. At Christmas we have said to the Child Jesus what is expressed in a beautiful German carol: “My heart I want to offer you; and all that I have, give you”. Read More

THE WRATH OF THE LORD

233rd Meditation

“Even if people encounter my ‘wrath’, I want them to know that I love them and call them to conversion” (Inner Word).

“The Lord disciplines the one He loves” (Heb 12:6). Our Father’s intention is always to call us to conversion. If he allows people to feel the consequences of their actions, that is, to encounter His “wrath”, then this too is done out of love, in order to shake them up and awaken them. Sometimes there seems to be no other alternative to turn a person from their evil ways and turn them back to God. Read More
