191st Meditation
“I want to protect the young people as a tender Father. You who especially need someone to take care of you in life, so that you can avoid evil, come to Me! I am the Father Who loves you more than any other creature will ever be able to do!” (Father’s message to Sister Eugenia Ravasio).
How much danger young people run of giving themselves up to false ideals and thus taking a wrong direction in life! We all know that, due to the media, the seduction potential has increased enormously in modern times. There are fewer and fewer healthy family structures, so that young people do not have a solid foundation and often lack a Christian community that can welcome them and give them stability.
That is why it is so important to pass on to the youth this tender invitation of the Heavenly Father, which is addressed specifically to them, because God knows very well how important it is for the young people to be certain of His love and guidance. They need the Father’s protection in order to be able to resist the various temptations they face.
Also the declaration of the Father that He loves them more than any other creature could ever love them, would grant them incomparable freedom, for disordered affection for creatures always brings confusion. This counts especially in the time of youth, when feelings are often still so dominant that they tend to become the criterion for action.
May the Lord grant us the wisdom to know how to speak to young people about Him, and may our own love and trust in the Father be for them an attractive witness, inviting them to open themselves also to His love and providence.
