“I desire that the tangible sign of My invisible presence be a picture to show that I am really present. Thus, all men will carry out all their actions under their Father’s gaze” (Father’s message to Sister Eugenia Ravasio).
This is one of the desires that our Heavenly Father communicated to Mother Eugenia Ravasio. As a result, a picture of God the Father was made and spread. I (Br. Elijah), who is writing this meditation, asked a Bulgarian iconographer to write an icon according to the specifications of the existing image. This icon is in the crypt of perpetual adoration in our monastery in Germany, and when we receive requests, we also send copies of this image (firstname.lastname@example.org).
We see the extent to which our heavenly Father bends down to our human reality. Every practicing Catholic knows the statues of the saints and the Virgin Mary, as well as the Crucifix, and somewhere they have a picture that helps them to remember the presence of God. Our Father responds to this need of human beings, He wants them to be aware of His presence, and He wishes His image to be placed everywhere so that through it He can say to people: “Look, here I am, your most loving Father, whose gaze is on you”.
This is how he expresses it in His message to Sister Eugenia:
“I desire them to bring Me into all families, hospitals, laboratories, workshops, barracks, conference halls of the ministers of nations – in short, wherever My creatures are, even if there were only one of them! (…) Thus, all men will carry out all their actions under their Father’s gaze and I Myself will have before Me the creature that I have not only created but adopted. In this way, My children will be, as it were, under their tender Father’s gaze. Even now I am everywhere, certainly, but I would like to be represented in a tangible way!”
